The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error. A remote attacker can trigger denial of service conditions via a JPX image with zero components.
2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-7173)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists in the JBIG2Stream::readSymbolDictSeg function due to improper decoding operations. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger infinite loop and cause the service to crash.
