Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect processing of  dict marking in PDFDoc::markObject() function in PDFDoc.cc file when processing PDF files. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted PDF file to the affected software that invokes pdfunite binary, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
