Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) SQL injection (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the TopSites & WAAS Application functionality. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data via the ObjectInputStream. A remote authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Improper access control (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions when processing requests to API endpoint. A remote non-authenticated attacker can gain access to sensitive information.
