Description
This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Integer underflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1093)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to an integer underflow during the parsing of font files in the DirectWrite library. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted document or a webpage, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an integer underflow and execute arbitrary code on the system.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1097)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition due to the way DirectWrite discloses contents of its memory. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted document or a webpage, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the user's system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1128)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1127)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1124)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1123)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1122)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
8) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1121)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
9) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1120)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
10) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1119)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
11) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1118)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
12) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1117)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within DirectWrite. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted webpage or document, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
