DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or overwrite arbitrary data on a targeted system.
The vulnerability exists due to an infinite recursion condition that can occur in DOS partitions while parsing a self-referential filesystem or a filesystem with many extended partitions. A remote attacker can crash the target system, cause a denial of service condition or potentially overwrite arbitrary data on the system.
