Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the “insert-php/admin/includes/class.snippets.viewtable.php” script. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privilege on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to the missing capability check in the “insert-php/admin/includes/class.import.snippet.php” script. A remote attacker can import code snippets with a simple POST payload sent to the “/wp-admin/admin-post.php” script.
