Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper Certificate Validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10382)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle (MiTM) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected software unconditionally disables SSL/TLS certificate validation for the entire Jenkins master JVM. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted SSL/TLS certificate, conduct man-in-the-middle attacks and connect to a targeted system.

2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1003079)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to missing permission check in the "LabManager.DescriptorImpl#doTestConnection" form validation method. A remote authenticated attacker can capture credentials stored in Jenkins.

3) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1003078)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin in the "LabManager.DescriptorImpl#doTestConnection" form validation method. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
