1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12816)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to execute arbitrary code.

Modules.cpp in ZNC before 1.7.4-rc1 allows remote authenticated non-admin users to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code by loading a module with a crafted name.


2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-9917)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted message in incorrect encoding and cause the application to crash.
