Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12587)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to the EAP peer implementation allows the installation of a zero Pairwise Master Key (PMK) after the completion of any EAP authentication method. A local attacker in radio range can replay, decrypt, or spoof frames via a rogue access point.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12586)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the EAP peer implementation processes EAP Success messages before any EAP method completion or failure. A local attacker in radio range can cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted message.
