Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10406)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote user to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected software does not restrict or filter values set as Jenkins URL in the global configuration. A remote authenticated user with Overall/Administer permission can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Self-Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10405)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected software printed the value of the "Cookie" HTTP request header on the "/whoAmI/" URL. A remote attacker can trick the victim to inject a specially crafted Cookie and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
3) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10404)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected software does not escape the reason a queue item is blocked in tooltips. A remote authenticated attacker who is able to control the reason a queue item is blocked can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10403)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists in the SCM tag action tooltip due to the affected software does not escape the tag name on the tooltip for tag actions shown in the build history. A remote authenticated attacker who is able to control SCM tag names for these actions can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
5) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10402)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when the "f:combobox" form control interpreted its item labels as HTML. A remote authenticated attacker with permission to define its contents can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
6) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-10401)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the the "f:expandableTextBox" form control. A remote authenticated attacker with permission to define its contents (typically Job/Configure) can permanently inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
