Description

This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4626)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing data passed via the "JSwindow" property of the typolink function. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4627)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

TYPO3 before 4.3.12, 4.4.x before 4.4.9, and 4.5.x before 4.5.4 allows Information Disclosure on the backend.

3) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4628)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

TYPO3 before 4.3.12, 4.4.x before 4.4.9, and 4.5.x before 4.5.4 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication mechanisms in the backend through a crafted request.

4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4629)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the admin panel.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

5) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4630)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the browse_links wizard.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

6) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4631)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the system extension recycler.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

7) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4632)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the tcemain flash message.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

8) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4900)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

TYPO3 before 4.5.4 allows Information Disclosure in the backend.

9) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4901)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

TYPO3 before 4.3.12, 4.4.x before 4.4.9, and 4.5.x before 4.5.4 allows remote attackers to extract arbitrary information from the TYPO3 database.

10) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4902)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to manipulate data.

TYPO3 before 4.3.12, 4.4.x before 4.4.9, and 4.5.x before 4.5.4 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files on the webserver.

11) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4903)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the RemoveXSS function.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

12) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4904)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

TYPO3 before 4.4.9 and 4.5.x before 4.5.4 does not apply proper access control on ExtDirect calls which allows remote attackers to retrieve ExtDirect endpoint services.
