1) Buffer Over-read

EUVDB-ID: #VU23341

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2019-19240

CWE-ID: CWE-126 - Buffer over-read

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists in the "websRedirect" function due to a boundary condition in processing redirected HTTP requests when supplied with a very large Host header. This can cause a copy of the Host header to fail, leaving that buffer uninitialized. A remote attacker can trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.

Vulnerable software versions
