Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A local user can change the contents of a configuration file and execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.

The following versions of TIA Portal are affected:

  • TIA Portal v14: All versions
  • TIA Portal v15: All versions prior to v15.1 Upd 4
  • TIA Portal v16: All versions

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.
