The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions, which may return unauthorized tag data when viewing analysis data reference attributes. A remote authenticated attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.


2) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-18271)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin on the PI Vision administration site. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
