Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-18388)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error. A remote attacker can trigger denial of service conditions via malformed commands.

2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-18389)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in A heap-based buffer overflow in the vrend_renderer_transfer_write_iov function in vrend_renderer.c in virglrenderer through 0.8.0. A remote attacker can use VIRGL_CCMD_RESOURCE_INLINE_WRITE commands. to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-18390)

The vulnerability allows a local authenticated user to #BASIC_IMPACT#.

An out-of-bounds read in the vrend_blit_need_swizzle function in vrend_renderer.c in virglrenderer through 0.8.0 allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service via VIRGL_CCMD_BLIT commands.

4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-18391)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in A heap-based buffer overflow in the vrend_renderer_transfer_write_iov function in vrend_renderer.c in virglrenderer through 0.8.0. A remote attacker can use VIRGL_CCMD_RESOURCE_INLINE_WRITE commands. to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
