DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of user-supplied input passed within the smtp_mailaddr()
function. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a specially crafted MAIL FROM command and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system with root privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationUpdate the affected package to version: 6.0.2p1-2+deb9u2, 6.0.3p1-5+deb10u3.
