EUVDB-ID: #VU25417
Risk: High
CVSSv3.1: 9.1 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H/E:F/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2020-8012
CWE-ID:
CWE-119 - Memory corruption
Exploit availability: Yes
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the robot (controller) component. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
The robot versions below 7.97HF8, 9.20HF9 and 9.20SHF9 are affected.
MitigationVendor recommends to update to the following solutions to address the vulnerability:
robot_update patches 7.97HF8 (or above), 9.20HF9 (or above), and 9.20SHF9 (or above)
Vulnerable software versionsUnified Infrastructure Management: 9.20
External linksQ & A
Can this vulnerability be exploited remotely?
Yes. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker via the Internet.
How the attacker can exploit this vulnerability?
The attacker would have to send a specially crafted request to the affected application in order to exploit this vulnerability.
Is there known malware, which exploits this vulnerability?
No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability. However, a fully functional exploit for this vulnerability is available.

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-8011
CWE-ID:
CWE-476 - NULL Pointer Dereference
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the robot (controller) component. A remote attacker can crash the Controller service.
The robot versions below 7.97HF8, 9.20HF9 and 9.20SHF9 are affected.
