SB2020031012 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Azure DevOps Server and Team Foundation Services

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.

1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-0758)

CWE-ID: CWE-119 - Memory corruption

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when Azure DevOps Server and Team Foundation Services improperly handle pipeline job tokens. A remote user can swap the short-term token for a long-term one, use a specially crafted application to trigger memory corruption and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
