Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-10874)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary database files on the system.


2) Absolute Path Traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-10875)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can traverse the file system to access files or directories that are outside of the restricted directory, as demonstrated by PL/SQL Server Pages files such as "/include/viewtagdb.psp".
