Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-11731)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in all Settings/Media Library Assistant tabs. A remote authenticated attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Local File Inclusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-11732)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in [mla_gallery] link=download. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
3) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-11928)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the "tax_query", "meta_query" and "date_query" parameters of the [mla_gallery] shortcode. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
