1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1017)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privilege so the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the Windows Push Notification Service when handling objects in memory. A local user can use a specially crafted application, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.


2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1016)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the Windows Push Notification Service. A local user can use a specially crafted application to trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
