Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) Missing Encryption of Sensitive Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-5886)
CWE-ID: CWE-311 - Missing Encryption of Sensitive Data
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the BIG-IP systems setup for connection mirroring in a
High Availability (HA) pair transfers sensitive cryptographic objects
over an insecure communications channel. A remote attacker can read and modify the Diffie-Hellman (DH) parameters used by data plane SSL/TLS enabled virtual servers.
2) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-5888)
CWE-ID: CWE-287 - Improper Authentication
CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to an error in TMM in Virtual Edition. A remote attacker on the local network can access local daemons and bypass port lockdown settings.
