Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1084)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the Connected User Experiences and Telemetry Service fails to validate certain function values. A local user can run a specially crafted application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1123)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the Connected User Experiences and Telemetry Service improperly handles file operations. A local user can run a specially crafted application, trigger memory corruption and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
