Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-3123)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the Data-Loss-Prevention (DLP) module in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) with enabled optional DLP feature. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted email to the affected system, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and crash the ClamAV process.
2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-7613)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the "_is_clamav_binary" function in "Index.js". A remote attacker can execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
