SB2020070305 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Huawei Mate 30 Pro

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1838)

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected device does not sufficiently validate certain credential of user's face. A local attacker can craft the credential of the user, bypass authentication process and gain unauthorized access to the application.

2) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-9256)

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to bypass authorization checks.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected system does not properly restrict the use of system service by applications. A local attacker can trick a victim to install a malicious application and cause a denial of audio service.
