DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences when installing Helm plugins from a tar archive over HTTP. A remote attacker can trick the victim to install a malicious plugin that can inject a relative path into a plugin archive, and copy a file outside of the intended directory.
