The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

A vulnerability in the Android media framework (libvpx) related to odd frame width. Product: Android. Versions: 7.0, 7.1.1, 7.1.2, 8.0, 8.1. Android ID: A-64710201.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-9232)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a missing bounds check when processing media content in libvpx. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
