Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Session Fixation (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-6302)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise another user session.

The vulnerability exists due to improper session management mechanism. An attacker can get this session ID via shoulder surfing or man in the middle attack and subsequently get access to admin user accounts, leading to Session Fixation and complete compromise of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the application.


2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-6272)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in several web CMS components. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


3) Session Fixation (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-6363)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the session invalidation issue. A remote authenticated attacker can trick a vicitm to click on a specially crafted webpage and gain access to another user's session.
