Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-16909)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the Windows Error Reporting (WER) improperly handles and executes files. A remote authenticated attacker can use a specially crafted application, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
