Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Security Features (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25777)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper filtering of HTTP requests within the KERedirect module. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file or visit a malicous page and bypass the protection offered by the product.
2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25778)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application within the KERedirect kext. A local administrator can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
