Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in parse_tiff_ifd() function in src/metadata/tiff.cpp. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted TIFF file to the application and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.
