Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-26892)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in JWT library in NATS nats-server when handling expired credentials. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request, gain unauthorized access and execute arbitrary code on the system.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-26521)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in JWT library in NATS nats-server. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
