Description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions for "canFlush" and "canPerformSystemActions" function. A remote authenticated user can bypass implemented security restrictions and flush a table, shut down Accumulo or an individual tablet server, and set or remove system-wide Accumulo configuration properties.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
