EUVDB-ID: #VU49339

Risk: Low

CVSSv3.1: 4.7 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-27262

CWE-ID: CWE-79 - Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')

Exploit availability: No

Description

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

2) Code injection

EUVDB-ID: #VU49340

Risk: Low

CVSSv3.1: 4 [CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-27260

CWE-ID: CWE-74 - Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component ('Injection')

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows an attacker to manipulate the device data.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient filtration of user-supplied data when processing HL7 v2.x messages. A physically proximate attacker with a connected barcode reader can inject HL7 v2.x segments into specific HL7 v2.x messages via multiple expected parameters.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
