Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20643)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and change administrative password of the product.

2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20644)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within SSID on the web setup page. A remote attacker on the local network can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

3) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20645)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote authenticated attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

4) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20646)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.

5) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20647)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.

6) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20648)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote administrator on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

7) Improper Certificate Validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20649)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle (MitM) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to missing validation of certificates. A remote attacker can perform a MitM attack on the target system.

8) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20650)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
