Description
This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20635)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to the authentication mechanism has no brute-force prevention. A remote attacker on the local network can launch a brute-force authentication attack, recover PIN and access the network.
2) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20636)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
3) Improper Check or Handling of Exceptional Conditions (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20637)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to an improper check or handling of exceptional conditions issue. A remote attacker can trick a victim to access a specially crafted URL and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
4) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20638)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote administrator on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20639)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote administrator on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20640)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote administrator on the local network can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20641)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
8) Improper Check or Handling of Exceptional Conditions (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-20642)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to an improper check or handling of exceptional conditions issue. A remote attacker can trick a victim to access a specially crafted URL and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
