Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21475)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
2) Weak password requirements (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21472)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to the system.
The vulnerability exists due to default weak password requirements that do not require setting a server password during installation of SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management. A remote user can gain unauthorized access to the system.
