Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13561)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the TIFF parser in "index record". A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13571)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the SGI RLE decompression functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13585)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the PSD Header processing functionality. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Write-what-where Condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13572)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a write-what-where condition in the way the GIF parser decodes LZW compressed streams. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file, trigger a heap overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
