Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-29097)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing the PMF files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-29096)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when parsing the PMF files. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Access of Uninitialized Pointer (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-29098)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to an uninitialized pointer issue when processing PMF files. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
