Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-26416)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the Windows Hyper-V. A remote authenticated attacker can run a specially crafted application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28444)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to a security feature bypass issue in Windows Hyper-V. A remote attacker on the local network can gain elevated privileges on the target system.


3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28441)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the Windows Hyper-V. A local user can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.


4) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28314)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the Windows Hyper-V, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
