1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28682)
CWE-ID: CWE-190 - Integer overflow
CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in grpc-timeout handling when processing large grpc-timeout values. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request with a large grpc-timeout value to cause a denial of service.
2) Uncaught Exception (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28683)
CWE-ID: CWE-248 - Uncaught Exception
CVSSv4: 8.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of unknown TLS alert codes in the TLS alert processing logic when processing a peer-supplied TLS alert. A remote attacker can send a TLS alert with an unknown code to cause a denial of service.
3) Reachable assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-29258)
CWE-ID: CWE-617 - Reachable Assertion
CVSSv4: 8.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion in HTTP/2 METADATA handling when processing an empty METADATA map. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP/2 request to cause a denial of service.
