Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges.

The vulnerability exists due to improper privilege management in cifs-utils. A local user when mounting a krb5 CIFS file system from within a container can use Kerberos credentials of the host.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
