SB2021051217 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Jenkins Xray - Test Management for Jira plugin

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21652)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected plugin does not require POST requests for a connection test method. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.

2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21653)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected plugin does not perform a permission check in an HTTP endpoint. A remote authenticated attacker can enumerate credentials IDs of credentials stored in Jenkins.
