EUVDB-ID: #VU53207
Risk: Medium
CVSSv3.1: 6 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N/E:U/RL:U/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27492
CWE-ID:
CWE-611 - Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference ('XXE')
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input within the parsing of 3DXML files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file or visit a malicious website and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.
MitigationCybersecurity Help is currently unaware of any official solution to address this vulnerability.

CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27488
CWE-ID:
CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds write
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error parsing the CATPart files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted CATPart file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
MitigationCybersecurity Help is currently unaware of any official solution to address this vulnerability.

CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27494
CWE-ID:
CWE-121 - Stack-based buffer overflow
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing the STP files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file or visit a malicious website, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationCybersecurity Help is currently unaware of any official solution to address this vulnerability.
