Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27475)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted serialized object and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27471)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and overwrite arbitrary files on the system.


3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27473)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected software does not sanitize paths specified within the .ccwarc archive file during extraction. A remote attacker can gain elevated privileges on the target system.
