Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-15586)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in some net/http servers, as demonstrated by the httputil.ReverseProxy Handler. A remote attacker can exploit the race and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-16845)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop in "ReadUvarint" and "ReadVarint" in "encoding/binary". A remote attacker can consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.
3) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21642)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote authenticated attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.
4) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21643)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected plugin does not correctly perform permission checks in several HTTP endpoints. A remote authenticated attacker can enumerate system-scoped credentials IDs of credentials stored in Jenkins
5) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21644)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
6) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21645)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the system..
The vulnerability exists due to the affected plugin does not perform permission checks in several HTTP endpoints. A remote authenticated attacker can enumerate configuration file IDs.
