Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31983)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing PLY files in Paint 3D. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PLY file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31946)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when parsing GLB files in Paint 3D. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted GLB file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31945)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing GLB files in Paint 3D. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted GLB file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
