The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect authorization error within the gfs2_xattr_user_set() function in fs/gfs2/xattr.c, within the gfs2_acl_validate_set() and gfs2_acl_type() functions in fs/gfs2/acl.c. A local user can execute arbitrary code.
