Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30186)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30188)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30195)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30187)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
