Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Integer underflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21811)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer underflow in the XML-parsing CreateLabelOrAttrib functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted XML file, trigger integer underflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21810)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the XML-parsing ParseAttribs functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted XML file, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21815)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the command-line-parsing HandleFileArg functionality within the "strcpy". A local user can use a specially crafted command-line argument, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21814)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the command-line-parsing HandleFileArg functionality within the "strlen". A local user can use a specially crafted command-line argument, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21813)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the command-line-parsing HandleFileArg functionality within the "memcpy". A local user can use a specially crafted command-line argument, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21812)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the command-line-parsing HandleFileArg functionality within the "strcpy". A local user can use a specially crafted command-line argument, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
